Hi! Welcome to the MiraCosta Community College! Now you are part of the big family! Please check out various fun activities on campus and join us!



1.     Go to the College Hour

       

  Enjoying school life is the purpose of College Hour.It provides some events and activities on given dates during fall and spring semesters between 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The location is Oceanside Campus, San Elijo Campus, and Community Learning Center. Events are including concerts, dancing, games, workshops, and club activities. And you can get lunch for free through bring your student ID card. Dates of College Hour will be announced every year at the beginning of the semester. You will have good time and meet new friends there!



  






2. Drop in the Food Pantry

       

 Providing emergency food to student who need this service and is currently enrolled at Miracosta college will be our priority task in the school. There are snack, sack lunch, canned goods such as pasta, vegetables, beans, tuna, soup, and fruit. So please check the time and place before you go. Sometimes, the Miracosta service learning and volunteer center invites students to participate in the nutrition and budget tour as partnership with the san diego food bank. In this tour, you can learn about local food distribution sites and much more. After the tour, you can get a free $15 gift card!

        


3. Get yourself sweated in the Sports Open Play Events

Playing basketball is the best way to exercise and make new friends in school! The school Gym opens every Thursday night from 6PM to 8PM to all MiraCosta students and it is totally FREE! You can come to play with few people in your classes or we can find you a team. Besides basketball, volleyball team and Ping Pong team are anticipating you as well at the same time.


4. Go Hiking with your classmates

          Breathing fresh air and enjoying the splendid outdoor nature is the greatest way to experience San Diego! Our Hiking club organizes weekly events in Lake Calavara, Guajome Park and Elfin Forest Reserve. You can check online for the detail schedule and reserve to join by sending email. Don’t be hesitate to come! These hiking events are suitable for all levels!


5. Become a member of our International Club

          Joining the International Club shares an inherent desire to learn about the cultures of those who come from other countries. We are a big family here in the MiraCosta Community College! The International Club serves as both a social and educational medium through which the students of MiraCosta College may greatly expand their views of the world and create lasting interpersonal relationships! Just a simple click on MiraCosta College website can make you a part of us in this big family.
